Catalytic Diffusion Lamps
Fragrance lamps, rather than providing a source of light, purify and scent the air by use of a special catalytic stone and wick assembly that burns an alcohol-based fragrance lamp oil (fuel) without a flame. Although this technology has been around for over 100 years and was originally used by hospitals and mortuaries, the more common application today is for home and office use, reducing or eliminating various odors, including pet, food and tobacco odors. Fragrance lamps can effectively purify and scent the air of several rooms (depending on lamp size, placement and airflow) within an hour.

Got Skunked?
City skunks or country skunks, they all can create a smelly problem for you and your dog.
Untreated, the scent can linger for months, and will be most apparent every time the dogs'coat gets wet.
Should your pet be the unfortunate recipient of the skunks' spray, do not wet him/her down. This only serves to spread the very potent skunk spray oils even further through the coat.
The sooner you can take action to neutralize the odor, the better. Below is a simple home made remedy that has been found to be very safe and effective when used as directed.
The soap (like Dawn) helps break up the oils in the skunk spray and allows the other ingredients in the solution to do their stuff. Saturate pet's coat, and work into a lather. You may want to wear gloves during application. Use a sponge to work gently around the face and eye areas. Allow 3-4 minutes on coat, and then rinse, rinse and rinse some more! This remedy is very effective for most dogs. Even after treatment, you may still catch a lingering scent for a couple days or weeks.
Common sense warning: Do not leave your pet unattended and be aware of any potential skin sensitivities.
We now offer skunk emergency kits, with all three ingredients as well as printed instructions, for $5. Be sure and keep one handy just in case!

Does your pet have an old collar or bed he has grown tired of? Maybe even a
toy or two. We are accepting donations for our local rescue groups in the form of
any used collars, leashes, bedding, towels or any type of pet product your pet no
longer has a need for. His canine friends awaiting loving homes will appreciate his
'rags'...with lots of WAGS!!
