What to do with all of this information?

At this point if you are thinking “Uh, yeah, ain’t gonna happen”, then regular grooming appointments will be the answer!

 

Because coats vary, as we know, ‘regular’ grooming can be anywhere from 3 weeks to 10 weeks. Your groomer can determine with you what will be best for both you and your pet’s needs.

 

A little inside baseball here…groomers have a saying, “Humanity over Vanity”. If your pet comes in and is a matted beyond what is reasonable for them to be comfortably brushed out, then clip downs are the only option. We chose this profession because of our love and respect for dogs, and have no intention of causing them undue discomfort or harm, no matter what the circumstances may be. After grooming thousands, yes, thousands of dogs in our careers , we will always defer to the dogs’ comfort and well being over whether they look their best in that short clip or not. It’s hair…it grows back ….and with that regrowth comes the opportunity to keep up with the home care, stay on top of the matting and have whatever style that you want to see your little fur pal sporting! Yay!
